:date: 2019-08-27 ======================== Tuesday, August 27, 2019 ======================== Hamza and I tried to use getlino for the first time on the new server for weleup. We released getlino 19.8.1 (:ref:`getlino.changes`) and then tested the instructions in :ref:`getlino.install.admin`. :cmd:`sudo apt-get update` failed with message:: --> E: Repository 'http://ftp.be.debian.org/debian buster InRelease' changed its 'Suite' value from 'testing' to 'stable' Solution was to say:: $ sudo apt-get update --allow-releaseinfo-change I added :cmd:`sudo apt-get install python3-pip` to the installation instructions. And then :cmd:`sudo -H pip3 install getlino` said:: Collecting getlino Retrying (Retry(total=4, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable')': /simple/getlino/ Retrying (Retry(total=3, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable')': /simple/getlino/ Retrying (Retry(total=2, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable')': /simple/getlino/ Retrying (Retry(total=1, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable')': /simple/getlino/ Retrying (Retry(total=0, connect=None, read=None, redirect=None, status=None)) after connection broken by 'NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable')': /simple/getlino/ Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement getlino (from versions: ) No matching distribution found for getlino But for example :cmd:`ping pypi.org` works. Maybe some problem with validating the server certificate of pypi.org? I tried the following, but without success:: $ sudo -H pip3 --trusted-host pypi.org install getlino After reading `this thread `__ I decided to show this problem to Steve before trying further. Indeed he just had to configure their firewall and open ports 443 und 80 for the new server.
