CVEDB(1) NetBSD General Commands Manual CVEDB(1) NAME nvd2sqlite3 -- sync NVD input into a local sqlite3 database SYNOPSIS nvd2sqlite3 [-hv] [-d dbfile] DESCRIPTION nvd2sqlite3 is a very simple tool to fetch and sync the contents of the National Vulnerability Database into a local sqlite3 database. It reads input in NIST's CVE-Feed XML format from stdin and updates the local database with any new entries. OPTIONS nvd2sqlite3 supports the following options: -d dbfile Update the given database file. -h Print a short usage statement and exit. -v Be verbose. Can be specified multiple times. EXAMPLES To pull in the NVD from nist: curl https://nvd.nist.gov/static/feeds/xml/cve/nvdcve-2.0-recent.xml | nvd2sqlite3 EXIT STATUS The nvd2sqlite3 utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.
